German-American Friendship Garden Restoration
German Ambassador Emily Haber and the Trust for the National Mall will unveil the German-American Friendship Garden on April 29th!
As a tribute to the 300 years long history of German immigration to the US, the German-American Friendship Garden was contructed on the National Mall in 1983 - right between the White House and the Washington Monument. The garden is comprised of native plant species from each of the two countries and unique fountains.
