EVENT DETAILS

GAC2020 Film Series: The Hidden Life of Trees

Friday, November 6 to Friday November 13, 2020

“If a tree falls in the forest there are other trees listening.” -Peter Wohlleben, The Hidden Life of Trees: What They Feel, How They Communicate – Discoveries from a Secret World

Have you ever thought about how trees communicate? Do trees have a nonhuman consciousness? Do they have a memory? We would like to introduce to you a fascinating documentary about the “Wood Wide Web,” a unique ecosystem with its own structure, community and language, often undervalued in its complexity and importance.

In the documentary, the filmmakers portray the laws of trees and forests, our long-standing companions on this planet, and highlight the importance of protecting them. This film is based on a non-fiction bestseller by the German forester and author Peter Wohlleben.

The documentary is available free of charge from November 6th to November 13th.
