Innovation Powered by Applied Sciences
The pandemic changed the parameters for university-industry relations. Impacts are broad: on industry and society, on university structures, on the mindsets of students and faculty, on income levels - and all of this affects applied sciences. Using the momentum of Moving the Cities - a multi-national two-week entrepreneurship challenge involving students, faculty mentors and regional companies from three continents - the university-industry talk convenes experts from academia and society to share and discuss their theses on the future of applied sciences. They will take stock of the new contexts and assess capacity for universities and companies, and for students and faculty to move forward. The comparative lens will yield a global assessment of where we are now and where we need to go.
